2017With another year behind us, the Student Programs Team is excited to start 2017 with our best foot forward! We thought what better way than to get our Student Programs blog back up and running? With the hustle and bustle of the past year, we fell short with our posts. However, as a team, WE resolve to utilize the blog more! What better way to do this than with a post about New Year’s Resolutions?  The beginning of a new year is a perfect time for personal reflection. How did your last year go? Did you reach goals you wanted to? What do you want this new year to look like, what do you want to accomplish? These are all questions that run through millions of people’s minds. With that being said, the Student Programs team wants to share some of our personal New Year’s Resolutions!

Student Programs Director Barb Wallace says that her resolutions are “to come up with clever passwords that I can remember without having to write them down on sticky notes and attach to my laptop.  No more Password123 for me!” Barb also resolves “to stop ‘responding to all’ in email messages.”

Student Programs Manager Lauren Brody-Terrill wants to “do something for myself every day."   At work and at home it’s easy to get caught up in focusing on always doing things for other others and I am guilty of this, putting things I need for myself aside… I’m am going to try to make sure to do something just for me, even if it’s just 30 minutes to myself each day.” Lauren also resolves to ‘learn something new’ in 2017.  "Whether it be something professional development related or personal, hobby or activity, I would like to see myself grow or develop in a new area.”

Student Programs Coordinator Morgan Smith resolves to “exercise at least three times a week!”  That’s a great way to start off the year, right?

Student Programs Team Member, Brooke Doherty wants to “host more dinner parties with friends.”  How much fun does that sound?  Putting FUN back into our lives is a great resolution to make.

Student Programs Intern Kailin Leisure resolves to have more self-confidence and not worry as much about what others think. She wants to put her own happiness first, before just doing what she knows will please others. She, like Morgan also resolves to go to the gym at least three times a week.

What are YOUR New Year’s Resolutions? We want to hear from you!
