This past November, a small facility in Idaho was recognized and awarded the 2016 Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award. Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Mountain Valley in Kellogg, ID was one of only four recipients of the 2016 award.

The Malcolm Baldridge Award Application process is extensive. It requires months of hard work by the facility's Leadership team. The Baldridge Award is a National Quality Award, and Mountain Valley is the first Skilled Nursing and Rehab Facility to be recognized in the awards history.

Tara Lodi, DPT and Program Director at Mountain Valley stated in an interview: "At our facility we function as a TEAM to meet the needs of our patients. The patients are ALWAYS our number on priority. This is apparent when our Maintenance man is equally as involved in the lives of our residents as the Director of Nursing is."
