  • Well, I have finally joined the craze that is “social networking”.  This is after reading countless blogs and news articles on the subject and finding that the majority of my friends and colleagues are part of the trend.  Now that RehabCare and I are part of facebook, I realize just how huge “social networking” really is.  Not only are there opportunities to connect with friends from the past, but there are countless opportunities to network with peers.

If you are in the Physical Therapy field, student or active, check out Physical Therapy Network. “The Physical Therapy Network is a place where physical therapists and individuals in related fields can connect and communicate.”  Currently they have 69 members, and the number is growing!  Also, look at the APTA group on facebook. “This group is open to physical therapy students and professionals who’d like to be involved in guiding the profession. If you’re passionate about physical therapy, this is the group for you.”  Now, if you are in the Occupational Therapy Field, check out the AOTA  group on facebook. Right now the group is 1,190 members strong and is a great resource and networking tool.

These are just a few of the networking groups out there focused on the therapy world, so take a moment and socialize on-line.  Be careful though, it is addicting.  And remember; while you are logged on don’t forget to become a RehabCare fan.
