Bringing Professionals and Students Together
A few months ago, I attended the APTA Student Conclave in San Jose, CA. I was amazed at the number of students that attended and the professionals that came out to support these students and share their experiences and opportunities with them. While I encountered many great people throughout the conclave, many at which I was impressed by their involvement and professionalism, my colleague and I were able to spend a extended period of time with one of RehabCare's Student Ambassador's from Marquette University, Ali. Throughout the semester, Ali and Marja ( who unfortunately wasn't there), organized many events in which Marquette students and RehabCare employees were able to share their ideas, knowledge and skills with one another. Ali attended the conclave with a 6th year student, Sara. While I had many questions as to what they were currently studying, their plans after graduation, etc… we were still able to enjoy the evening with good food and a few laughs. It was nice to connect with the physical therapy students of today and understand their routine of school a little better. Thank you to Ali, Marja and Sara for all you do as RehabCare Student Ambassadors and fans.
