High Tuition Costs - RehabCare Is Here To Help!

 

 Here it is July, and the thought of starting next semester is probably looming in the back of your mind.  Unfortunately, along with starting a new semester comes more tuition payments! 

 If you are worried about paying tuition for your degree as a PT, PTA, OT, OTA or SLP, I encourage you to check out RehabCare's Opportunity U program.  Opportunity U provides tuition assistance to current students and recent graduates from accredited therapy programs nationwide.  As a PT, OT or SLP, you may apply for up to $10,000 in tuition assistance.  PTA's and OTA's may apply for up to $5,000 in tuition assistance.  Not only do you receive help in paying your tuition, you are assured a position with RehabCare upon graduation. 

Recent recipients of this program have landed jobs with RehabCare in Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma and Virginia.

Physical Therapists included in Loan Repayment Legislation

Yesterday, representative Bruce Braley (D-IA) introduced what is known as the Frontline Providers Loan Repayment program.  Under this new legislation Physical Therapists (among other health professionals) are encouraged to practice in underserved areas.

HR 2981, as the bill is known, asks the therapists to sign a commitment to practice in an area for at least two years in exchange for the student loan repayment.  APTA President R. Scott Ward is noted as saying "With health care reform legislation on the horizon, it's imperative that our leaders address workforce issues as a part of overall reform. The Frontline Providers Loan Repayment Program would bring physical therapists to areas in the country where their services are greatly needed."

RehabCare recently attended the APTA National Convention in Baltimore, June 11-13th. What a great time we had. During the exhibit hall hours we had the chance to chat with a lot of great therapists and even more great students! It was an excellent opportunity for us to share all the wonderful things RehabCare has to offer. Also, it was exciting to see all the faculty members from our partner programs.
