APTA Launches New Television Ad Campaign
How often do you just sit down and watch television? If you’re like me, probably not too often, but I’ve got something you may want to check out next week. The APTA is launching 2 new 15-second television ads that will run in several local markets (Columbus, OH, Portland, OR, Troy, NY, and Salt Lake City, UT) as well as nationally on the news station CNN during the week of July 5. Check out this press release from the APTA to see when and where you can catch their new ad campaign.
But why run an ad campaign talking strictly about Physical Therapy? Well, the campaign was designed by the APTA to target baby boomers with neck, back, and shoulder pain and drive them to the APTA’s newly redesigned website www.moveforwardpt.com to educate them about Physical Therapists and how they can help this aging population. Here is what APTA has to say about their new website (which I suggest you check out today!)
The…site was developed to help consumers and other health care professionals understand how a physical therapist can improve mobility and enhance quality of life. It features a Web page for health care professionals and several interactive tools designed to engage consumers. These tools include a consumer Twitter feed, a Facebook fan page, a YouTube channel, an “Ask-A-PT” and a “Find Your Condition” function and an interactive “Maximize Your Motion” quiz. The redesign is just a first step in APTA’s effort to improve the site as we work toward the eventual release of a new dynamic and robust consumer Web portal early next year.
If you happen to be watching Anderson Cooper this week and see one of these new ads leave a comment and let us know what you think! And you definitely need to visit Move Forward and check out all of the new functionality it has to offer!
