  • A Day In The Life
  • Adam was admitted to Kindred Hospital Denver’s neuro unit in September following a horrific accident in which he sustained multiple rib, facial and back fractures with a complex brachial plexus injury as well as a brain injury. On admission to us he was sedated due to agitation, he had not been out of bed yet, could not eat or talk and was on high amounts of oxygen having recently been on a ventilator. Adam was discharged from us just 11 days later to an acute rehab center. Adam worked with the entire team including RT, speech therapy, OT and PT. The nursing staff worked hard to keep him safe while the sedation was removed and care from physicians Dr. Yaeger and Dr. Chang contributed greatly to the success. On discharge to rehab he was eating, talking and on room air. He could walk with assistance and was looking forward to getting back to his normal life again.
